#4 Book Beginnings & Friday 56

I have found something to replace the old First Page Fridays since that has been discontinued, but I found something that’s basically and dare I say, just a tad bit better.

So please join me in Freda’s Voice Friday 56friday-56

Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.

Please join me every Friday to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author’s name.

Without further ado…

Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.

Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.

I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.

Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I’ve become a hopeless Sinner.

Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me–something unexpected–and I want this wicked playboy’s heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

First Page : “EXPOSING MALCOLM SAINT by R. Livingston

I’m going to tell you a story. a story that managed to pull me apart completely. A story that brought me back to life. A story that has made cry, laugh, scream, smile and then cry again. A story I keep telling myself over and over and over until I have memorized every smile, every word, every thought. A story that I hope to keep with me forever”

Thoughts :  The last book ended on a cliffhanger, which is a massive pet peeve of mine, but I had this one queued up and ready to go. You might be wondering that since I didn’t give Manwhore the best review, why I would bother reading the second one and it’s because of that pesky cliffhanger. But also, don’t you want to hear the story?

56% : “That’s what the world sees. Is that what you see?”

Another Billionaire Playboy just doing his thing? Working his way through the female population? I wish that was what I saw. Alas, I live in the real world and it has no Billionaire Playboys vying for my attention.

Based off of what I’ve shared…
