Casper Covington had his music, women, and pretty much anything he wanted at his disposal. But the one thing that plagued his thoughts constantly was the one thing he couldn’t have. The girl he met six months ago. A drunken one night stand that he couldn’t get out of his head. The only thing he remembered from that night was her green eyes and the ivy tattoo that stretched the length of her body. In his attempts to put an end to the tortuous dreams of the mysterious girl, Casper’s attention is caught by the new bartender. There’s just something so familiar about her that his need to get to know her becomes more troublesome than he expected.
Alexis Radcliff was raised by her four brothers making her as tough as nails on the outside but on the inside she wanted what every girl did – someone to love her, faults and all. She would be damned if she admitted that out loud and made a point to show she could use men just as easily as they used women. But when a sexy musician starts to show interest in Alex she has a hard time convincing herself to stay away. Alex knows everyone has secrets but hers are ones she doesn’t want to share. But when she can no longer fight her feelings, her dark past slowly starts to unravel.
Can true love conquer all? Or are past ghosts a haunting premonition of what lies ahead?

Thoughts: “Tough as nails on the oustide but all she wanted was someone to love her” I call Bullshit, you can’t be that prickly, rude and standoff-ish is you claim to want someone to love you. The synopsis got that wrong. Batshit Crazy! Alex is batshit crazy and I have yet to meet a person in RL that is as batshit crazy as she is. This woman runs hot almost all the time and cold every once in a while. I don’t see how you can KNOW that something is your fault, you ruined your friendship and then bite HIS head off…for what? Why, how are you justified in being a crazy lunatic that has no handle on your emotions. She’s so damn ANGRY all the time. I’m a girl and I don’t even want to put up with her mood swings and anger issues and indecisiveness. If I were Casper I would have ditched all efforts of winning her over a long time ago. No one is worth that much effort. No one. There has to be some give and take and Alex doesn’t give shit, I have yet to see any redeeming or love-inducing qualities about this girl. AND she’s a hypocrite, she sleeps around AS MUCH as Casper, yet he’s the manwhore, he’s the one that can’t do relationships. Look in the mirror or better yet listen to Declan who tells you that you’re a hypocrite. Batshit Crazy! And through all that Casper sticks, around he shows her that he can change that he does love her and he is worthy of her, to the point where I felt he was too good for her (but that’s my opinion) . Love conquered all in this frustratingly maddening HEA novel.
